Depends on what I'm restringing.

Electric-Fender Pure Nickel .11s-Usually $6-8 a pack at the local shop or EB Power Slinkys- $5
Acoustic-Ernie Ball Earthwood .12s-Usually $6-7 a pack at the local shop
Classical-Augustine Imperial Blue-Usually around $8-10
4 String Bass-TI (Thomastik Infeld) Jazz Flats-$70 ordered from GC
5 String Bass-TI Jazz Flats-$95 ordered from GC

It sucked to buy those bass strings, but I heard their good for 2-3 years so hopefully worth it. Plus they sound sweet.

Really,I don't even know,I buy the 10 pack of D'Addario 10-46 and just keep going,I probably have about 30/40 sets at home right now....I change a least every two weeks....and don't want to run out.

I am never without the ability to change strings when ever or where ever I want.

+1

It is never a good feeling to run out if a guitar needs changing!

At my local guitar shop I can get a couple packs of strings for 8 bucks or so. Not too bad. That's about the only thing I'll buy from them though, that and picks. They're the "buy something or get out" kind of shop owners.

Ernie Ball Reg Slinky -- .010 set -- averages $5.50 to $6.00 per set at the stores I buy most often from.

I bounce between Ernie Ball and D'Addario so usually whatever is on sale or I haven't used in a while. No more then $12 for a 3 pack.

Working at Guitar Center I get everything at cost, so I pay about $1.75 - $2.25 a pack depending on what strings I'm buying.
