We flew 3000 miles to do Thanksgiving with and for the grandchildren. Arrived late Tuesday. Prep day was Wednesday. Friday is leftovers day. Any other interesting tales to tell. Hope all went well with the lot of you.

Are your arms tired?

Beautiful turkey day here. Only a 15 mile drive for a wonderful day with family. Lots of good food, and every kind of pie/cake that you can imagine. I noticed much more attention this year to sugar-free treats. It's almost as if everyone is getting older or something.....surely not!

Anyway, great day, great food, great family, enough good leftovers to last a couple of days, lot's to be thankful for here, especially thankful to God for family and the opportunity to get together.

Hope you had a great day too ZZDoc, and all. :)

Good 1, I felt the same way. Just a small dinner here with my wife and 2 girls. The wife had to work so dinner fell on my shoulders till she got home, and I also had to proccess a deer. Never even got a chance to watch any football.

Sad to say, I got sick late Tuesday night, missed the big meal, screwed up a nice 4-day weekend. Now I'm headed in to work on what should have been my holiday day and I just ate my first meal ( a bowl of cereal) in the better part of three days. The wife took all the leftovers and went to my daughter's for the rest of the weekend. :( I never even played guitar in the last three days...

Hopefully, I will do better over Christmas!

Our Bird was Great Doc' We stayed home for the first time in many years cus we just did not going out. Spent wed. night at Mother in laws she is not doing well and just started dialysis and she had lost her leg a few years ago. Thurs. morning she was checked in at Hospital.
Wife spent most of the morning cooking and the menu was as follows, Turkey and Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potato Casserole, Corn, Green beans, Sauerkraut, Dressing, Macaroni & Cheese, Jellied Cranberries, Rolls And Deviled Eggs.
Was I ever stuffed!

Doc' I hope you and the rest of the Forum Members had a great one.

Well, we had to buy a new pan because our turkey was too wide. My dad is coming from PA today and we're all going to our friend's house for a 2nd thanksgiving.

Stayed Home....Alone... 8) ...Wife went to brother's and Sisters and Kids ( all 21 of them.. ) After driving back and forth 130 miles each day for more than two weeks, up to Mass. I was not going anywhere...especially not back up to Mass. and the wonderful traffic snafu's.
Was fried and needed a personal day...Actually I need 3 more but that's just not going to happen.

I must add that the wild Turkey's did not stop by and say Hello all week...Did they Know... :?:

I hope that all my friends south of the border had a greaqt Thanksgiving. Our next big event is Christmas and I was think of getting a goose but a small goose costs over $50 and that's just way out of line when I can get a fresh range fed 20 lb turkey for just $40.

Re-strung a Seagull mini jumbo and then hung out w/ my son. We ate Panda Express and watched movies!

No over-stuffed ickies, no dirty dishes, no hassle, no turkey hangover!

Verrrrrrry relaxing day!
