1995 Modulus Q5 Stealth fretless-$1600 used at GC (They cost over 3k new, so I think I did pretty good).

Sorry about pic quality, I didn't feel like cleaning my room and the lighting kinda sucks. Just rest assured it looks way cooler in person. Plays and sounds like a stealth bomber.

Rosewood vs phenolic resin? One piece maple neck vs one piece carbon fiber? Alder vs Ash? EMG vs Fender? 4 string vs 5 string? Fretted vs Fretless? 34" vs 35"? Truss rod vs no truss rod? Duracell vs Energizer? The answer to all these questions is yes.


The neck finish is the result of hand-laminated carbon fiber covered by a clear polyurethane. Modulus calls the effect a thousand ladies dancing (KLD for short). I'm not sure about all that, but it does look cool. Here's a better close-up:


So which bass sounds better? Yes.

I'm thinking I should have posted this in the bass section, but it is a non-Fender so I put it here. Just means it will be buried in two days by threads such as "What would hell be like?" To which I would say, hell would probably be akin to being in a band where the drummer has his set mic'd, the guitarist has a Marshall stack, and all I have is a little Fender rumble 15. Lost in the mix for all eternity
