+1 Mike, Robin has been fighting to have a memorial to bomber command for a few years which I understand has just been given the go ahead, a bigger fight for himself ahead now though http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8683307.stm

People or their loved ones that have never been diagnosed
with cancer sometimes have the feeling that it's something
that happens to "other people" but it knows no boundaries and
is devastating when you hear your doctor say those 3 words,
"you've got cancer".

So true. If it hasn't affected you personally, I'll bet there is no one on this forum, or anywhere for that matter, that is more than one degree of separation from someone it has.

Prayers and Major MOJO going out to Robin.

I have lost many family members and a few friends to Cancer. I also have a few family members and friends who are Cancer Survivors. It is a terrible disease.
I have a growth on my left lung that my Dr is keeping an eye on. More scans and possible biopsy upcoming.

Good luck Mr Feathers..

I saw Robin Gibb on the TV recently. He was gaunt and horribly thin. This news therefore comes as no surprise.

Liver cancer is one of the most devastating forms of cancer there is.The Gibb family certainly has had it's share of hard knocks.Despite what people said about the BeeGees and put them down when they went through the "Disco" phase,I always liked them and their early songs like Massachusetts(forgive spelling),I Started A Joke,To Love Somebody. We used to play BeeGees covers in just about every band I played in.I pray that he can beat this terrible disease.

CANCER is the most devastating single word in any spoken language. I think we all know it only to well. Seattle, MOJO to Robin and all the Gibb family. keep the faith.

back in the 70's i was part of the anti-disco crowd. as a musician, i hated watching all my favorite live music venues turn ed over to dj's.

i guess time softens you up a bit, and over the last several years i have gone back into the beegees catalog. dang, they did some great songs. even some of the disco era hits are growing on me.

my best to mr. gibb in his battle.

The Bee Gees First is one of my all time favorite albums. I was learning guitar to Red Chair Fade Away. One Minute Woman is a great song. I lost my dad to liver cancer. I wouldn't wish an end like that on any man. I wish Robin the best.
