I'm glad i missed that. Trying to figure out why someone would do that is impossible. Proven fact that doing that at an early age is a warning of things to come.

There are a lot of cat people out there, especially in the Bass Forums, lots of animal people in general.

Thanks for that pic oxfan, those cats are truly beautiful. There are certain members of the human race that are so evil that it's impossible to figure out why they're like that. Anyway i don't want to know, i just don't want to hear about them or have anything to do with them.

You're bang on the button as well about the warning issue. Well known fact that most sadists, murderers, started out hurting animals before going on to do it to people. That's why i said it would be appropriate to find this person and get him analyzed to find out what the hell's wrong with him, because anyone who thinks that an appropriate thing to post on a guitar forum has got serious problems.

His age is no excuse either, if anything that makes it worse.

I feel a bit better now after seeing those beautiful cats though, thanks.

Thanks, that's Frankie on the left and Louie on the right. Louie was a rescue, found by my daughter in a rainstorm and Frankie was adopted through our Humane Society shelter.

How could anyone intentionally hurt defenseless creatures, of any kind?

This is what happens when anyone lays anything on "their" ottoman.

Never seen a cat that had any problem with being cruel to other animals.

I couldn't agree more. When humans decide to have pets, a lot won't accept responsibility for them. It's in a cats nature to hunt and kill. Simple solution is to keep them indoors, then the worst thing they do is torment their owners.

Those cats are just gorgeous oxfan. We have a cat that we adopted, or rather he adopted us! he stayed with people near us but they weren't very kind to him so he saw us and decided he was moving in!

This cat is called Sooty and it intimidates you into giving up your chair and then it jumps up and cuddles up into the warm seat! It actually sits in front of you and stares at you as if to say "hey you! get off that chair! i want it!"

The best part is i usually give in to it! 8)

Absolutely Oxfan, though caging a cat is still very cruel. No matter how big the cage.
I posted that hoping for some kind of knee jerk response from somebody. I'm half glad I didn't get one.

Though I have a cat (Winston), I'm not really a cat person. I try to treat Winston with the same level of nonchalance with which he treats me. It doesn't always work though. Sometimes I crack and have to give him a fuss.

I'm from Pennsylvania where cats are not protected species, which is rather bizarre to me. I'm convinced that any animal can become a good pet if treated well.

Nikninja, the closest they've come to a cage is going to the vet. They've been very gracious in allowing us to live in their house.

Yes, I've seen cats playing with maimed birds and mice, basically torturing them and appearing to enjoy it until they grow bored and bite the head off. It's not a pretty sight and yes, it makes you look differently at your pet after you see that side. I do expect more from humans though.

Yeah absolutely being victim to crime doesn't give licence to reciprocate in kind.

Why I just can't justify the death sentence to myself.

Oxfan this may sound incredible but your 2 cats have almost identical markings as 2 of mine. The mostly grey one is almost a dead ringer for Tiddy our only female cat except for Tiddy's white mask is almost symetrical otherwise including the socks she's a ringer. The markings on the other cat are almost the same as on Scruffy the feral cat that we took in and finally house broke.I'll have to get Blinkers to have a look,he'll think that he's seeing things.

You're right on there Derek. They are both deadringers for your cats!
