Amplitube Fender is magical software. I've posted about it here before.

Wire up the stealth pedal and I could just play through it for hours. it's utterly addictive.

+100 on Reaper as well. We've used Cubase and Sonar - both very expensive at the time. Overly complex and very buggy. Reaper does what you need, without 27 levels of redundancy and 38 levels of features you'd never need. It reveals it's depths only when required.

Now let's see "How would a Fender Supersonic head sound with a 1x8" speaker? Gotta try that.."
