Thanks for your patience -- I'm pleased to announce that we are LIVE! Please take a minute to read through our rules and regulations before posting. Also, since we got off to a bit of a late start we'll leave posting open until 6:00 p.m. today. Most importantly: have fun and be kind to each other! :D

i am just wondering. Why are the forums only open for part of the time during the day? Is this because Fender wants Mods on the forums at all times? Or is there some other reason? I'm just curious. Thanks for any feedback

I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record here  but the strict forum hours are yet another issue that is intimately tied to the community members engaging in self-policing, respect for your brethren, and keeping things generally friendly and fun. In a nutshell: prove to us that ya'll can handle yourselves and we'll certainly consider eventually opening things up to 24/7 posting!

You could always open it eventually to invite responsible members to become moderators . Might also be worth having some from other time zones to provide 'out of hours' cover.

Look - I'm a Hall of Fame member on Harmony Central. Do I care how many posts I make? I'll go for quality over quantity here, OK. ;¬)

That is a great idea! In fact, it may be something we are considering already

Right, that suggestion is absolutely something we discussed and which is under consideration. Truthfully, though, it's a bit down the road. Job one is that we need to get to know you all better -- and as with any other forum, over time the "superstar" participants will begin to emerge.

RE the hours the Forums are currently open, look at it this way... you can goof around here all day while you're supposed to be working, and then have your nights free for PRACTICE.

Hey Brad,
Would it be possible to have the forum open for viewing only? In other word, don't allow posting during the closed hours, but allow people to see what's already been posted.

Man, it's like you guys are reading my mind! Yes, the next obvious step as we get remaining bugs and kinks worked out is to open the forum up for read-only access on a 24/7 basis. Patience, my friends, patience.

I think its a good thing, better to have it closed during certain times than to have people posting stuff that shouldn't be posted. I've never seen this before. I've seen private forums. Maybe as things move along with this board people can volunteer to help moderate what's being posted so that it can be open more often. Maybe not. Just a thought.

I think this is a great ideal having the Fender forum. I look forward to posting pictures and sound clips.

Brad, the Fender Players Club web link is missing on the Fender World site.
