Hello Nicinflorida,

I keep them in the case when not in use
and on the couch when in use. I gotta get
a nice stand one of these days.

Cheers.

When not being used, they stay in their cases. The problem... is that the cases are constantly being moved to different locations. :?

I have four hanging on the wall right now and two on hercules stands. I love them hanging on the wall!! I can go over to the wall and just pick on out. It's like my own personal guitar store! :) Plus it takes up less floor space and for me it made my music room look bigger because I didn't have them all on stands and made more room for pedals. Also, like someone said earlier, it just looks cool to have them hanging on the wall.

I keep them on the wall when I'm playing , the rest in cases, my wife likes them displayed...

I've been told that hanging them is good for them, (in keeping the necks straight and true).

Any truth to that?

When they're not being used/played, I keep 3 of them in cases. My beater bass I leave out on a stand or wherever I set it down at.

I properly clean all the strings with a special rag...and then hang it on the wall...
Only to find out that I missed the hanger by an inch and now have to start retuning my guitar. SO (chinese proverb, I know thank you) I know conclude that strings don't oxidate as fast in the case as on the wall. :D

I keep mine in their cases, and those are on a low dresser up & away from any floods, etc.

When I take one out to play I also use a guitar stand to set it on.
I often take more than one out & switch between them--so I use more than one stand.

If I had a lot of money to spend--I'd consider getting something like this-
http://www.guitararmoire.com/

Of course if you collect guitars...there comes a time when hanging them on the wall is essential, just to save space...

You still have to have the cases somewhere--unless you only have a few cases you rotate among the guitars. Of course you'd need to do that with a guitar armoire as well.

I have a three year old brother that likes to take my guitars off the stand and try to play but he tends to hit them on things in my room. so recently i've started hanging them on the walls. yet to have a problem with it but if you do let me know.

I have a Hercules stand and the guitar hangs in it the same as it would on a wall mount.. There are no support at the bottom of this stand so for me there is no difference.

When not in use for extended periods (not likely) or visitors with mini-people coming over I pack the axe's away in their hardshell case.
