8) Here are my questions for all to ponder, which is better for the guitar? hanging up on a wall hangar or placed in a stand and does hanging the guitar on the wall affect the neck at all? I have been wondering this for awhile now, but I can't find any evidence to indicate either is bad for your guitar.
thanks, 8)

Don't know if one is better than the other....I prefer a stand. I can't imagine hanging a guitar would ever be a problem.

I've noticed that most guitar stores I've been in have the guitars hanging on the wall.

I have stands for all three guitars, but that might change once my wife gives birth

I prefer the hangers. They are a lot easier. I use Hercules Stands. They have an automatic closer when pressure applied, way cool :!:

i have all mine on stands, but i am thinking of getting some wall hangers... they were designed to hold guitars so i highly doubt it will cause any damage to your guitars

Both my strats are on wall hangers, no problems so far, i also have a couple of stands for playing outside of home, gigs, friends, vacations etc.

Only thing that can cause problems is the materials used in the walls, where i live now 2 of my 4 walls are made of concrete so soft (that lightweight stuff, don't know what it's called in English) that the weight of a guitar will pull he hanger out of the wall

You'll be fine until your new child starts to crawl... There's nothing worse than picking up your guitar on a Saturday morning only to find out that there's some partially eaten mystery food stuck between your strings and fretboard. Mine son will be 3 has actually been really good with my guitars for the last few months.

I've become a fan of the wall hangers. Not only does it keep your instrument safe from toddlers, but it can be incorporated into your house's decor. At least that's what I keep trying to tell my wife.

Just a few months ago I finally went with hangers and I'm glad I did, it got them off the ground and I can take up less space with pedals and amps under them.

And it looks cool...

I just return the guitar to it's case and lean the case back into the row of cases in the corner.

My guitars used to be on stands all the time, One day my grandson who was 2 at the time came into my home office to visit me and he tripped and fell into one of my acoustic guitars. Fortunately neither my grandson or my guitar were hurt. Everything went up on the wall after that.

I don't have any kids and my wife won't let me hang anything on the wall, not even a picture. I am lucky she lets me have a stand in the front room. Acoustics are in their boxes,

I have a stand, but it usually get's in the way, so I stick it off in a corner somewhere with my acoustic sitting on it. I just leave my strat leaning against the amp. I play my strat mostly, so it's easier to just go up to the amp flip it on and grab my guitar.

I don't have anything against wall hangers, I always just thought of them as a way to display *nice* guitars, not really a place to keep your everyday work horse.
