That breaks my heart...he was a great performer, songwriter, band leader, sideman, singer, and drummer...I always enjoyed his shows immensely.

It's hard to find anybody who says anything bad about this guy. The two times I met him, he was gracious, intelligent and polite. He had no ego, considering his amazing amount of talent, and he had no bitterness considering the players in his bands who became much more famous than he...Stevie, Jimmie, his own son, the list goes around the block.

He was one of the "good guys."

I have a dark sense of humor, too, but this is a bit too raw for that kind of comment right now.
