Magic Sam - I Wanna Boogie

Magic Sam was amazing. West Side Soul...a MUST have album/disc for blues lovers. We lost Sam way too soon, died when he was only 32. Had a promising career ahead of him. Would have loved to see him live long enough to record a few more albums with Otis Rush.

I just heard I wanna Boogie and it knocked off my socks, which I'm not even wearing! Most excellent! I got the Essential Magic Sam 1957-1961. I got to get more of his stuff. Thanks for sharing!

That's a typical manifestation of the migration from the agrarian soiuth to the industrial north. You'll find that as a common thread in the bios of many of these bluemen. Buddy Guy, from Louisiana, tells that tale and how Muddy Waters gave him a helping hand.

wiki: "Killing Floor" is a song by American blues singer-songwriter and guitarist Howlin' Wolf. Called "one of the defining classics of Chicago electric blues".
