For years I've been wondering at the twists and turns my life has been taking, buying guitars, being married to my wonderful wife of 41 years... but I just couldn't get a grip on where I was headed.

Now, thanks to this wonderful chart, I can see things perfectly! I need to buy more guitars! I gig regularly, I make money at it, I'm meeting new people (and playing with them tomorrow afternoon); my wife has mostly tennis shoes, but tons of socks and capris.

I'm not sure how many guitars I actually own at the moment, but there are 21 of them visible in various places in the Music Room right now and I just bought a new Modern Players Series Tele Plus (see my review in the Telecaster Forum), which I think is my 10th Tele.

I must print out this chart and post it in the Music Room - where my wife can see it! Maybe now I can discontinue my therapy sessions! :mrgreen:

I think I'll just build my second one when money allows it and be happy with 2 :oops:

My Trick worked once but probably not twice. I simply bought my wife a guitar, and now I play it. The negative thing is, now the cash I would have spent on new gear is going to pay for her guitar lessons. oh well. :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol:

----Danny,

Danny, Danny... You need to spend more time with a chart like the one above and think these things through better before you leap. You and I are both getting old, but there are still a few tricks you can learn if you try. :D

If you only have one or two guitars, there's no place to hide the next one you pick up. If you have a whole bunch, you just work the new ones into the mix slowly. I don't notice my wife's new clothes, she doesn't notice my new guitar... as long as it is not too outlandish. Hard to hide this one...

Or this one...

But I try!

Dennis: I actually bought the guitar for her. It's nice haveing her learning to play. And it's fun haveing a live in jam Partner. Now we shop together for guitars and gear for our 3 grand kids. Just today we bought the 5 1/2 year old granddaughter a Mini Strat and a VOX VT 20+ Amp. for Xmas. After she opens them I'll post a pick of her and the new stuff. 8)

Uhhhh :| so confused.

* No wife.
* No kids
* Remember all my guitar's names

So, I should definitely buy more guitars, right?

But
* Mostly electrics
* Got Strat
* Got Tele
* Got Humbuckers
* Got P-90s
* Nice acoustic
* No guitars at buddies
* Just jam with mates

So, I definitely have too many.

My head is starting to hurt.

I KNOW!! I don't have a dreadnaught!!!!
Problem solved, buy more guitars.
Thanks all, I knew if I talked it out, it would become clear. ;)

----Danny,

The solution is simple! Buy HER another guitar, since you'll end up playing it anyway. She'll be so happy, she'll never figure that out, will she? :wink:

The trouble with that is , the wife has already got me pegged. Now she's using MY tricks. She loves that Mini Strat and wont put it down. I might end up buying another one for the Granddaughter. :lol: :lol:
