if fender just issues a contract to a factory that builds several brands its a contracted replica.

Many of the MIK Squier Pro-Tone instruments were built in the Samick plant in Seoul -- right along side other guitars badged as Cort, Turser, Peavey, and others. Do you imply that these Korean-made Squiers should not be considered as legitimate Fender products?

And the MIK Strats and Teles which were legitimately badged as Fender's but also made at the Samick plant?

No Arjay, but nobody could ever dispute your amps. Truly Fender amps by any definition.

In my opinion Fender hasn't really been Fender for a really long time. I'm not saying the gear is bad, it just really lost all that Fender quality, and reliability vibe I grew up with, know and love. Who knows, I just bought a Gibson USA, and a Martin made in Nazareth, Pa, so maybe I'll buy a MIA Strat or Tele to round things out.

Arjay, just a side note,
Just want to tell you and every other Veteran Thank You for your service so all of the rest of us boneheads can live free.

Thanks Again!

I can't believe this thread even popped up. It's a dumb question we all know the answer to- even the OP.
