Thanks to all, and I do belive this is my first Veterans Day off as a Vet since I got out in 1988. But only cause of the weather, snowing like two screw yous. And thanks to all the other Vets out there.

Certainly hope YOU don't have to personally move that stuff around today. Give it a rest if you can.

Many thanks and eternal gratitude to all you guys and girls who have served or are currently serving in the US military. My thoughts and prayers are with you not just today, but every day. God bless you.

Today I honour my grandfather who fought in the Great World War. He did not fall in battle. He came home healthy, married my grandmother and sired my mother who's first born was yours truly. Today I pay respect for his service to Canada, the world and to me.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The world would be a much different place without your service.

It IS good to hear a thank you now and then. As a Vietnam vet, thank yous have been few and far between. I'm proud that I served and I am the only one in my entire family, living or dead, who was ever in the service. And even they ranked me out when I came home.

I picked up some Flowers for my brother and 3 dozen carnations. When I got to the VA Cemetery I was very pleased to see a lot of people there paying their respects. I placed the Flowers on my Brother's grave, then took the carnations and walked around putting one carnation on 36 random graves. I Thanked each one as I placed the flower in front of the headstone. As I left the cemetery I Thanked Them ALL.

As a side note: I have a sticker and license plate frame on my car that say "Air Force Veteran". While I was sitting at a red light a car came up beside me in another lane. I looked over as a very pretty Blonde lady rolled down her window and said "Thank You". I was choked up and speechless, I smiled and nodded.

Bummer!!! Only two members of Congress voted 'no' to the Tonkin Gulf Resolution. What ever one's position was on the prosecution of the war, those who served should have been honored. For any American citizen to have been so disrespectful is a travesty beyond belief.
