Thanks, Doc!

It's gratifying to be remembered once in a while.

What division of the military did you serve in? Most of the men in my family have been Marines.

ZZDoc, thanks always feels great to be remembered for our service.

I would also like to thank all the veterans here on the Fender Forum. Serving in the US Armed Forces was a very rewarding career and after 28 years of service in the USAF I am thankful that it took me to many far away countries, were I got to see some of the world I would not have been able to see otherwise. I have nothing but fond memories of the people I served with and the many friends I made. The people were always the best part of serving.

A big hand salute to all who served.

T2

Thank You Doc!! I am doing as well as I can.

I was out to the VA Cemetery to visit my Brother's grave today and I'll go back out tomorrow and take him some flowers.
I will also be taking some flowers with me and place some on other graves.

I challenge all Forum members to take some flowers out your local VA Cemetery and place them on graves of our Veteran's.

Amen to that, Sergeant!

I remember every top kick, NCO, and officer I ever served with -- even the gomers and the ring-knockers.

Where my wife is a civilian employee of Canada's military I have met and become friends with a large number of service men and women. We all owe them our sincerest thanks and respect for putting themselves in harms way to keep us safe and try and make this world a better more harmonious place to live in.On my left forearm I wear a constant reminder of those brave souls who have fallen so we can have our freedom.I wear a tattoo of a Celtic Cross with the words "Lest We Forget" printed in under it.

Tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock don't forget to take a minute of silence out of your day to honor those who have met their deaths on the battlefield,it is the very least you can do for them as they laid down their lives for us to have what we have...freedom.

As an aside, I feel 'National Metal Day' could have been postponed 24 hours. I certainly hope some recognition of the real day comes through on VH1.
