I have an album by Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers(?!) that has these songs (but not all the takes/versions). Nope it isn't new.

I'd say Hendrix had much more influence on modern rock, based on his aggressive guitar style, crazy solos, and all around flamboyant performances.
In my opinion, everything was rock n roll until Hendrix came along, then ROCK was born. I mean if you listen it sound like everyone was pushing it, but they were all hitting smack into a wall until Hendrix came and completly blew up and tore down that wall

Having come of age in that era I have to say the real turning point from Rock and Roll to Rock occurred with Cream. That pretty much set the standard musically from that point on and was really when the term "rock" music started to be bantered about. Hendrix was a big influence in defining the showmanship aspect of rock and technical competition among the guitar gods, but he was generally more psychedelic than rock. The final no-going-back moment in terms of how rock was going to be played, produced, and performed was probably the release of Led Zep's first album. That's the moment that opened the flood gates.

Allegedly, the 45rpm single of "My Bonnie" is worth megabucks. :?:

Here's a couple of my early Beatles 45's. Notice that the Tollie release credits McCartney - Lennon rather than Lennon - McCartney. I don't know what they're worth, but hopefully more than the .79c I probably paid for them.

No offence, but The Beatles and Kiss are pretty much the same band, repackaging the same rubbish over and over.

I find your comment just a little bit brash, just saying.
