I'm trying to find some info about my Custom Shop Strat(Pink-Hank Marvin colour)
Serial number CC1.

I can't find any info about it anywhere.

Can you help?

Hey Watty - sorry I can't help you myself but try reposting in the custom shop section of the forum and I'll bet someone there can!

Not seen that serial no' before. They are usually CN or CZ prefix's followed by a load of numbers. Or R prefix with vintage reissue CS guitars.
That said the Custom Shop use loads of unusual serial numbers. Especially for the limited edition guitars. E.g 7of20 or 4of50.

Not seen or heard of CC prefix before. Can you upload some pictures of the guitar in question please?

Hi Guys,

Received an e-mail from Bob Willocks at Fender Consumer Relations (Thanks Bob)

According to their records my guitar is an 1998 Custom Collection Special order but that was

all the info he had as there was no info captured thru the serial number.

At least I know where and when now.

Issue # 101 January 2010 did a feature on the Custom Shop's " recreating the legendary Shadows Strat.
The issue focuses on the Shadows 50th Anniversary Interview and a review of your guitar.

Guitar Buyer is a pretty decent magazine but I don't buy it very often as it is quite expensive stateside, $ 11.00 per issue so online is best for us on this side of the pond.
Unfortunately I have to admit that the Guitar Publications from your corner of the world are so much better as far as content. I used to subscribe to Guitar Player and other US mag but the content is so narrowly focused as to be useless...

The exception here is Fretboard Journal ( acoustic guitars ) as well as Acoustic Guitar mag..
