You could look around for an FSR one, they sometimes come in strange and wonderful colours.

Why? They're 2 completely different guitars. If it fits your needs, then buy it. Color is easy to change, take apart, sand/strip, prime, repaint, put back together. Or you can go through Warmoth and buy your own custom.

Do you or do you not have a Highway One Stratocaster?

You don't have it in your collection. Fender won't make a change for one guitar snob like you. Beggars can't be choosers, take what you can get.

Ever thought of looking at a CIJ?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

looks like you will have to brows used inventory and craigslist list. or wait and see if fender releases new colors next year  there are allot of limited run american standards on the used market if you look hard enough. or you could place a custom shop order

Highway Ones only come in 2 colors. Flat black and Sunburst.

(From the big online retailers anyway).
