IMSRV, you sound like him.

Malmsteen laughs in the face of melody, kicks it in the nuts, spits in it's face while it's down, and then pees on it's dog, which it was taking for a nice peaceful walk until his douche $@! came along.

Seriously, it's like he's never even heard the word.

To compare GBH with The Clash is just wrong. There's two distinct waves of punk. The 77 real punk and the 82 wanted to be metal but couldn't play good enough. With the exception of the Kennedy's. Not that I don't like some of those bands. But what did GBH ever do after Clay records that was any good? They had a 20 year lapse after Leather, Studs, Bristles and Sickboy until the release of HA HA. An album which is quite maligned here in the UK because of it's over production. Personally I'd rather hear that than stuff like Punk Junkies and Fridge Too Far any day of the week.
America only had one 77 band. Though I'm eternally thankful for Iggy and the Stooges I can't class em as punk.
Thats my thinking on it.

As for throwing guitars

This Jackson Dinky

Image

Has been thrown and kicked around stages, thrown at walls and audience members the world over. Even used to beat some ponce who tried to steal it.

And this

Is what happens to guitars that get on my wick.

Then comes the fire

Then comes the chainsaw

I've never understood why anyone would intentionally burn or damage an instrument.

Because it's a bit of wood and metal, not some holy idol to be adored, regardless of it's inability to function.
Ask yourself this, does the music come from the instrument or the player?

I gave it to a friend as a birthday present, believe it or not! He loves it. Fitted it out with new bits and pieces, and uses it as a gigging guitar.

That white critter looks like Blofelds cat!

As for sawing yer leg off, it does happen sometimes, reminds me of a ripping yarns tale (if your old enough to remember youll understand)
i tried to bite my ex missus hand off once when i dreamed she was strangling me in a weird dream.
Loads of beer, odd dreams etc etc, good job i never inbibed anything stronger than mild pot and that was years ago.

All this disgust and outrage at the destruction of an inanimate object is quite funny.

Think I'll go smash a couple of amps up to celebrate.

Send me the neck pickup if you don't need it. Also, it's just me. I personally don't like The
Clash. They weren't that good, compared to The Germs, (yes, The Germs) then again, maybe I just like $@!&. I'm also seeing The Misfits a week from now.

Now theres a band that should have split years ago. As soon as Glen Danzig left they became way more style over substance than any alternative band should ever be.

They must be my version of your Clash.

I actually like the Graves era. I also enjoy them. Last concert I went to for them was their last show before Halloween, so it was extra special. They opened with Halloween then went to Horror Business, I Turned Into A Martian, then I couldn't hear after this because I didn't wear ear plugs. My mom was pissed, but I couldn't hear her yelling

Wow ! so the Ramones single handedly inspired the whole British Punk movement... and there I was thinking they were just a novelty act.
While we're rewriting history - did you know that the Beatles and Stones formed bands only after seeing an episode of the Monkees.
