Started off playing guitar (successful for a few years)
Went into electronics (complete flop as a tech, got promoted to QA/customer service where I did well).
Eventually got degree in Accounting and taught at a private degree-granting college for almost 10 years. (Also for a while wore the dual hat of Director of Data Processing, where I was the non-tech side of the department.)
Went west (not so young man) where I've been with the same company in a variety of roles for 25 years,
- started as "the" support dept for our entertainment industry accounting software package
- moved in house as our accounting manager
- headed end user computing dept for a while (when we first started using PCs and a network)
- moved to head data entry dept (very key in an industry which still uses paper timecards!)
- and now manager of client services

Basically, I've been entertaining people my whole life whether you want to call them an audience, students or clients. Keep 'em smiling and they'll keep coming back :)

Next stop, with retirement not far over the horizon, going back to semi-pro playing for fun and profit.
