I am just wondering what everyone does for a living?

If you are retired what did you do prior to your retirement?

If you are a professional musician what job did you have before that?

and to include those of you that are not of legal age to work. what do you want to do in the future? besides being a rock star

I currently waste time surfing the web, hanging out out on this forum and working on personal projects while in an engineering lab 8 hours a day
and yesterday I named some more of the equipment :D

I'm a GCSE student, I'm thinking about doing electronics at uni, or you know, playing in a generation defining and culturally significant band. Not sure which.

Had a paper round for 4 years- my first job.

Then, all the time I was in education, pursued a career in a variety of pubs and restaurants.

Now I've finished my education with a shiny new music degree, I currently...

- Play guitar in the session band for a singing academy
- Am starting a job at British Gas on Monday
- Have an interview with a surveying company tomorrow
- Potential career as a guitar tutor if I don't like either of the jobs I'm starting/going for

A lot of time needed. But it's all good fun!

Like Vlad, I've had multiple careers:
1) photographer's assistant, video editor and mixer in NYC, Israel, and Italy
2) Programmer/Analyst on mainframe computers
3) Currently, World History teacher of 100 wild, wacky, and mostly wonderful 6th graders (11 and 12 year-olds)

I served six US presidents in military service -- from Nixon to Clinton -- smiting my nation's enemies on four different continents. Following retirement, I worked as a defense/intelligence contractor for seven years. Subsequently I've been playing the guitar professionally since 1999.

I like Retroverbial served under five US Presidents (28 great years) as an Aircraft Maintenance Training Manager in the United States Air Force. I retired from that just last October.

Now I work as a Civilian for United States Transportation Command as the Operations Staff Training and Education Manager...and part time jam band musician.

before my lymph nodes shut down I was a talk show producer/co-host and a graphic design artist for a radio station. I have also played guitar and preformed close up magic for a living.

36 years with a large transportation company. Survived a couple of short layoff's and filed the time as a car salesman for a Chevy dealer. Then a short stay with the Boeing co. Just about everyone in Seattle worked there at one time or another. I retired in 2001 as a mid level Manager/Administrator at the age of 55. 8) :)
