On the supper hour news this evening they posted a severe winter weather advisory to most areas of the province with high winds and as much as 10 cm. of snow. Lucky for me that I just bought the 4X4 truck and got the super lugged snow tires put on her today.BTW we got an appraisal on repairs on the car yesterday and the mechanic told us that the repairs would far outweigh the value of the car,so we'll have to sell her as a parts car.

Even though I absolutely abhor winter I can't wait to go out 4-wheeling it through snow drifts again. The truck gets 25 MPG in regular 2wd mode so 4X4 shouldn't be too bad,at least not as bad as it was on my '76 Jeep Cherokee with the full-time Quadra-Trac and the 360 4bbl engine.

I'm not a big fan of snow in any quantity. That new rig should be the ticket for getting around in it safely. Have fun and be carefull. We only get one or two good snows this close to the water, but when it comes I'm ready. I've got a 2010 FORD F150 4x4 and the wife has an 05 Chevy Trailblazer 4x4 both good snow rigs. 8) 8)

It's 2:10 NL time and the snow has started,it's pretty wet and only falling lightly so much for the weather advisory.I can't wait to go dashing through the snow in my new rig even though I absolutely hate winter.

Hi John E. when a winter storm blows up over the Eastern Seaboard we get the left overs of the snow from the New England States,so if they get 12" we'll probably only get 3-4".

I'm in New England now and the latest is a nor'easter with 6-10" starting tomorrow about noon and going into Sunday morning.

I'm gigging at a private Halloween party tomorrow night too.
Can you say trick or treat!?!?

Mike,if you get that Nor'easter tomorrow you'd better go to the halloween bash as a snowshoe hare or an Innuit.

Being closer to Boston and sea level, it looks like we're getting about 6" of it, but west and north could get a foot or more. The changing moon also means 2-3 feet storm surges
and all is followed by a very gusty Sunday with up to 60 mph winds!

The band set up everything tonight, so just need to get my guitars there tomorrow...or, er...later tonight.
