finally got some stone guitar picks from http://picksofstone.com/ they definitely change your sound. I have not yet decided if its a good change because of that little chirp noise they make. I am trying to adjust my attack angle to get rid of it, but it still occasionally happens. the chirp is very pronounced with high gain though :? but as far as playability they are awesome and glide very smoothly over the strings. the only thing that worry's me is accidentally breaking them. I have no idea how much torture they can take and at $10 each I do not want to find out  so i made a little pick box at work yesterday

I've used them in the past because I thought they were neat. Didn't like them enough to make it a regular thing. I prefer to use reshaped silver quarters as picks.

That chirp is beautiful. When I had my Strat, I'd do heavy trem mess and drag the metal across my strings to make some crazy sounds.

Nice picks mate. Is that a Jasper ? What about the black one ?
Also, that's a really cool little box.
I play stone picks on occasions, but I find the texture a little bit rough surprisingly. As a pick collector though, I appreciate these little samples of mother earth.

the black one she called, "Snowflake Bronze Sheen Obsidian"
and the brown one was called, "Amazon Valley Picture Jasper"

I really wanted tigers eye but have been unable to locate one :?

I sent one of the three I bought to my father and he says it is the last pick he will ever need for acoustic. he said it adds loads of presence and clarity and sounds amazing while playing the Celtic stuff . I don't own an acoustic so I cant confirm that.

I had to cut the pick shape indention's out with a box knife and a small exacto chisel. so it could have been better. I am going to try and make one out of ebony, that's going to be difficult
