Just about any hard ice cream (especially orange not sherbet) in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. :D

Vegetable crackers with Philly cream cheese spread and topped with as much Thai Chili sauce as it will hold.

This auto has had my attention for awhile. Unfortunately there aren't any to test drive within 250 miles of Chicago.

Very cool car, SBLS. Looks good too.

The neighbour here has several years with a Prius, and we talk electric all the time. I think as an urban car they are great. This country is a little big and geographically challenged with extremely cold temperatures so I’ll pass on it for a variety of reasons.

I do think they have their niche; but, they should never be considered environmental. They are quite the opposite when you consider dams and, yes, wind power, solar panels, and battery production as well as recycling. The manufacturers and proponents should refrain from promoting them as such IMHO. I know of one major manufacturer (perhaps, more) that correctly advertises them as what they are - alternative as opposed to environmental.

Recently, I saw a documentary on how the grid works or doesn’t work. New York and California hasn’t learned from past experiences I guess. The grid is in trouble big time from a lousy design for today’s needs plus or minus cyber warfare.

Thankfully, there is a gas engine to back things up per se. I’m ready to switch from gas when the inevitable happens; but, rather than pay more for electricity with supply and demand increase, I’d like to see hydrogen as some along the coast have embraced. Easy peasy everywhere without a profitable drain on present resources or the pocket book. It’s unlikely the compressed air car will see this side of the pond.
Ever wonder why electric has become a popular buzzword in cars? Simple. The manufacturers and oil companies that brought you high mileage gas engines now have investments in the battery and support business. They now have energy companies and government with their lobbyists on board, and others can’t get through the door with their proposals. Even if better performance and prices support the electric, how fast will it reach the consumer, and at what cost? Can you say generic? Then there are the local, regional, and national tax supported infrastructures that will see electric supplied at the nearest parking space available and unavailable to you. You’ll like to know that when we turn on that efficient less expensive non environmental plastic led light bulb it will now cost us more as the electricity will be shared for the road. How do you like the new boss? Same as the old boss.

That’s sad, because with the electrics there’s a lot of advantages in beautiful and practical car design, and they are fast and quiet.

On a side note, I just heard, but can’t verify, that Tesla is moving total production to China. They just released Tesla’s limited Model 3 with a price point of $35k, but the next size battery is $9k more, and it doesn’t take long to double the cost of the suggested low cost cars like the Model 3.

Made in China? I broke another crappy Chinese chair today. No, thanks!

One can point out that parts can come from China. True, but I’ve had metal and wooden chairs from China that didn’t hold up so material, being equal or not, is just one factor to consider. YMMV

I have seen the Tesla 3 on the road a couple of weeks ago on the way to my doctor and it looks great and apparently drives like any other auto. My interest comes because as a youngster I had electric trains and electric cars (and slot cars) set ups that would keep me occupied for hours. Yes, I wanted an electric car even back then lol. The politicization of power availability by the money grubbers in government is the set up to funnel money into their pockets. The same exact situation was used in the legalization of medical pot. Government kept putting people in prison until they figured the way to monetize it for their benefit. You have got to respect the evil genius that infects most government workers, not all but most.

Bingo! Well put, SBLS.

Now if only they could accept the fact that they are the servants and not the other way around.

Sorry about that. I fell asleep and was dreaming for a moment.

Besides vinyl LPs, and Hershey's Milk Chocalate w/almonds, Fuji Neopan 1600 loaded in a Leica M3, shooting available light typically pointed at a naked woman in an old warehouse or similar setting. The combination of light, shadow, and form, juxtaposed into an image. Neopan was discontinued in 2010 but I still have a roll or two in the fridge, and it can still be found on the web. The next best thing is making prints in a darkroom, dodging and burning to get the image just right, though I haven't done either in a while. What can I say, I just like analog.
