First of all, you'll need to get a different bridge for the saddles. You'll need to take the guitar apart and put wooden blocks in place for reinforcement if you plan on mounting a new bridge. Do the fishing line trick for alignment. You'll need to do quite a bit of modding for a guitar that probably won't be worth it in the end.

thanks SK i will order 500k pots and two humbuckers. instead i want it to be a metal machine! Floyd Rose and every thing. even a locking nut. and i might get more of these guitars and build my own Acoustic brand. call it SRV and SK's Guitars.

Talking about mounting a Floyd Rose in an acoustic. Does he even know the way a Floyd is mounted? Certain parts could be mistaken for miniature models of car undercarriages.

I could either get it done by a pro or get a Bigsby and mount THAT on

Both would require the stability of a solidbody or at least a semihollow.

I don't think you understand. It's a logistical nightmare to mount a Floyd or a Bigsby in an acoustic. It would cost you more than the guitar is worth in the end to even buy the parts and get it done.

Why (with so much knowledge on tap please do tell) would the string tension of a regular acoustic increase because a trem system had been put on it?

Surely the strings at a certain length, tuned to a certain pitch exhibit a certain amount of force. Hardware has very little to do with it. If anything.

Ask your English teacher, perhaps they know the answer. Same as the biology teacher knows about language.

Buy a damn bridge on eBay. Search "Acoustic guitar bridge" and you should be able to find one for under $10.
