There will be inevitable glitches -- at its core this is a phpBB board but we've done pretty extensive mods and custom coding as well as made the thing talk to my external user profiling system. Out of curiosity, where exactly are you seeing June 13th appearing?

This is cool! I'm really glad Fender decided to do this.
I'm looking forward to sharing views/ideas/etc. with other Fender lovers.

We certainly may allow custom avatars in the future. And we'll probably open up a "suggestions" forum at some point so stuff like this doesn't get forgotten.

i was looking through the usergroups and found this one quite interesting:

Quote:
Fender Artists

This group is for Fender Artists ONLY! This means that these people have either a signature model guitar OR that they are someone we do work with often on some basis, OR they appear in our "Artists" section of the web site.

does this mean we might see artists posting on here from time to time? or maybe have special q&a sessions with them? :D

Good eye! Yes, we are fully intending to bring artists into the fray here just a bit down the road -- once again, though, this will be entirely contingent on the overall "demeanor" of the place and its participants. What I'm seeing thus far is VERY promising so please keep it up!
