This forum needs an acoustician, someone who really studies sound to point out the legitimacy from the bu11shit.

honestly I doubt there is anything substantial that could possibly back this thing up
but the guitars may really love you for it. it can probably shake the dust out of the wound strings but that's all i can imagine it doing that's remotely beneficial just makes me laugh

A few months back one of the guitar mags-Guitar World,Guitar Player or Vintage Guitar-did a hands on trial of the Tone-Rite and found that it realy did work.The thing generates ultrasonic frequencies that penetrate the woods of the guitar.They had a varying degree of success with it and it worked better on some brands and vintages more than others but the testers said that it did make a difference but left the decision as to whether it was worth $150 in difference up to the potential buyer.

They could have used better phrasing for the ad though-after all who wants buzz in their guitar?
