You've got armour plating, don't be such a killjoy. :P

True, Armadillos are pretty well protected, and they can roll up in a ball (making the trip down the hill easier), but still... :?

I don't think the fused vertebrae in my neck would look too kindly on that activity.

Haha I live very very close to this hill, you can see it from the M5 as well. This is real sport, people doing it not for money but for the love of the game and the love of a cracking wheel of cheese

Vlad I think we ought to postpone for fear of being attacked by Armenians in body armour.

After all there's a few USAF bases local to that area. We could be bombed with pads.

Joe that would develop skill. George Best got so good because he used to practice with a tennis ball. Smaller ball = harder to control. So smaller cheese = harder to find.

Or we could just play Cheese Roulette. Roll the thing down the M5 and see who'll go chasing it.

I think it'll be a hell of an experience if we were to do the M5 one. I'm in.

(As long as we chase the cheese in cars!)

No car, but I'll bring my push bike. This could be fun, this section of motorway is prime during rush hour!

Please make a vid of the the M-5 roulette and roll the cheese down the right side of the highway makes for a good collision...I'd like to see all the King's army and all the King's men put Joe, Ceri, Vlad, and Nik back together again...

Tongue in cheek of course!

There is a similar race thats run with horses in the state of Washington (OMACK, WA.). I wont post the video - It's a little to cruel for my taste. I think they have killed several animals in the past few years and many have been injured. :(

Aaaaa - sweet that you thought you needed to add that. Don't worry: it's all in the best possible taste. And strictly between consenting adults. :D

Hmm. I get the point of going for a small cheese. More skills involved.

On the other hand, the M5 idea makes me think sheer danger could be more exciting. And therefore so would a bigger cheese. Like this:

Suddenly the sport is not about chasing but fleeing. Remember the beginning of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark? I'm imagining a sport that focuses on the theme of run for your life! Or be mowed down and turned into instant cheese dip.

Cheers - C

If we do it like Pauper's Polo as well... take some hockey bats, ride our bikes and try and get the cheese from junction 11 as far as possible..!

I smell a plan.

And an opening News At Ten lead story.
