A young fella who used to go out with my daughter had one-freaky instrument that sounded like a banjo-especially when finger picked yet it was tuned like a guitar.

Yeah! this is my banjitar. They sound great - like a banjo - play like a guitar, in fingerpicken' style. Don't try and strum chords, it doesn't really work. Yeah, play and think banjo.

I've tried them in stores--I wouldn't use them for any traditional banjo stuff, but they do sound cool for fingerpicked blues, and sometimes for chords.

Try one out if you get the chance.
