You know, to discuss their ideas and approach to what they do.

Mine would be Jack Casady.

Alex Lifeson ... he seems so down to Earth that I would actually enjoy it without having any chance of one of my heroes disappointing me ...

This is gonna sound a little odd, but it's not a guitar player. It would be Maynard James Keenan (Tool/ A Perfect Circle vocalist).

One of the most prolific and interesting songwriters of the 90's and 2000's.. I took on one little piece of his outlook on songwriting and it has been golden to say the least. I don't even remember if it was an article or interview.

I'm gonna have to paraphrase a little because it was a while ago, but it went something like this:
" I take a subject (or subject matter), get to the center of it, and find out what makes it tic."

That's it.. That's all it was. And I've been taking that approach to writing my songs every single time I write one. If that's all it took, then I can only imagine what I'd be able to soak in by picking his brain for an hour about his songwriting processes.

Living would be Tom Petty-the guy is so down to earth,I'm sure that he isn't on an ego trip.

Dead: I'd have to put the names in a bag:John,George,Jimi,Bach or Paganini.

Ace Frehley. I feel the need to meet the original spaceman. I know a guy who's played with him before, and Ace sounds like a cool guy.

It would have to be Joe Satriani! With all of his musical schooling and how he brings that all together would be a priceless question and answer hour.

Tom Petty is an excellent choice. I also think Springsteen is a fascinating guy. Would love to chat with him about writing and performing.

My living artiest would be Joe Bonamassa.
Not living would be the immortal Mr. Hendrix.
They both equally inspire my Thinking, and give me something to strive for. 8)
