not really sure as far as gear goes

Do have a MASSIVE wishlist for music itself though. It would cost me over $1000 to buy all of it... :?

mine at the moment is a cornell custom 80 and a rory gallagher strat. maybe a 58 les paul vos and a marshall 1962 combo. i don't use effects so thats not an issue. your turn.

I was treated to a very loud evening with Joe Bonamassa on Friday night at the Hammersmith Apollo.
Anyway, smokin' Joe for the first couple of numbers played Rory's Strat. Dan Gallagher had leant it to him. I can really see why Dan would lend it to him. Both fellas were just built for rock'n'roll.

Quite an experience to see that guitar in its natural environment I can tell you.

My wish list....
I don't have one. Some time in the new year I'll be building a couple of Champ's with a twist and Ceri has promised to make the cab's for em. I'm quite looking forward to that. Aside from that, there's nothing I want.

Good luck taking that big boy to rehearsals SK.. you're talking the combined weight of 2 fat roadies.. and even more awkwardly shaped..

That's why I opted for the latest Hammond digital organ with built in Lesley. If it's good enough for Jon Lord these days, it's plenty good enough for me!

at least give me a REAL Leslie.

I have one which I'm building an extension cabinet for, taken from a 1972 Hammond T-Series before I junked it into what used to be our koi carp pond.

They're bloody nightmares, Hammonds. Fantastically happy to shock you if they're bumped slightly, they weigh a tonne, and they're easily susceptible to being damaged. Very much a figure of a bygone age. But my God, what a sound! I used to love playing mine through the extenstion Leslie, used to be able to hear it about 3 streets away...

Digital ones do the job very well. Just a case of not being quite right. I'd love a proper, all-valve one.

(1) Will be building 2 new Stratopartsters, have not decided on Pup choice yet. Still have an old set of Carvin ( 2 single's 1 HB ) for the one. I have to find a set that can complement the other set ups. No point in having two guitars sound alike. Have a fairly solid idea of what to use for parts and woods, one will be a hardtail and both will be either rosewood or ebony necks as well as clear finish, again not sure on the finish yet.

(2) Will be building a cabinet for a new amp, a friend who builds amps will make me one.
Variable wattage, 10 to 35 watts, reverb, tremolo, 1 12" speaker, very simple lay out, aim is to replicate my Magnatone's sound but be able to be heard in a club context. Not to mention that bringing the Magnatone anywhere is just not a good idea.

(3) On another note....major mods for the Avant 1.8T in expectations of next year's Waterfest, H2O and last but not least Avantoberfest....A righteous week-end cruise of S4's, RS4's, Stage II and III Avant's...from Danbury CT to Lime Rock to Stratton VTand next year add on a segment thru Stowe VT......It's related to music, they'll be plenty of my own music rocking the cruise...
