I am now the proud owner of new Epiphone Les Paul. I find extremely easy to play. Not saying my strat is hard but this Epi is VERY easy.

As you can see, it's very unique. Not quite the plain top it's supposed to be, not quite quilted or flamed. Love that finish.

Congrats on your new Epi,I have 2 Epi Les Pauls-a Custom and a Traditional Pro. I know what you mean about the neck being comfortable. The contour and girth of it are far different from the Fender necks but they are still very comfortable plus the Alnico pups can really belt out a raunchy sound yet can be very mellow and jazzy when dialed back.I'm sure that you'll enjoy it immensely.

Congrats on your Epi L/P. I've worked in some music stores and played those. Their playability is smooth. Try an aftermarket pickup in the position of your choice. Compare it to the Epi pup. Enjoy.

Wow this guitar is incredible. The humbucking is just so different. How come theres no buzzing on the Les Paul? Like my strat buzzes on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th pickup positions but not the Epi. Definitely interesting.
The finish on this is so different. Like I said, not quite flamed, quilted or plain top. Possibly why it's a factory second?

Fabulous. Get a hardshell for it ... it rates it. Nice guitar!

I don't know why it is, but single coils tend to buzz more than humbuckers. I'm sure someone here can tell you why.

Perhaps the new triple bucker on the modern player marauder will be the ultimate in noiseless pickups?

That's an awesome finish.

Regarding the dreaded '60 cycle hum', humbuckers cancel out the interference on account of there being two coils at work instead of one- also why, when you use the 2nd and 4th positions on a Strat, you get hum cancelling. They buck that hum!

Enjoy your new guitar. Variety is the spice of life.
