What pickups should you use? I'm thinking somewhere between a 52 and 54 Chevy 1/2 ton would make it a very nice road kill (vintage reissue) special.

Stratodillo?
Man, you have no idea where you just made my sick and twisted mind go when I miss-read that and thought it said ...

BMW-KTM, I think we have a very clear idea where your mind went. :|

Would that model be fitted with a vibrato? Or do you prefer a hard tail?

...Uh. I seem to have a twisted mind too. 8)

Uh-uh: not so fast, mister! ...RIGHT:

See, what I like so much about Screamin' Armadillo is that in addition to being knowledgeable, humorous and modest (which is pretty good to be getting on with) he also has a very good heart, which comes out now and again in most pleasing ways. An example.

On the Gaddafi thread he described his thought process on seeing those unpleasant pictures of the dictator's last minutes; how he was disturbed enough to feel empathy for a human meeting an awful end at the hands of a wild mob, but how that was then tempered (not extinguished) by reflecting on the awful horrors that Gaddafi had meted out on his own people and the terrorism he'd directed and financed against those of other countries. He then decided he "felt more sympathy for the exotic animals destroyed in Ohio than that exotic human destroyed in Libya", which is not only a tidy bit of phrase making but next lead him to question his own values in so doing. Critical self-examination to the last: ya gotta love the guy!

Apart from anything else, his post stopped the Gaddafi thread from turning into a blood-thirsty hoot-fest, which we've sometimes seen in the past. So in addition to thoughtfulness, empathy and humanity we are seeing leadership qualities. Not bad for one post!

I've got more, but perhaps I'll save it in case SA again thinks he's getting out of this relatively easily. How much are you blushing so far, Screamin'?

:D :D :D

BTW, this may be a first on the Forum. Ceri un-hijacking a thread. Poacher turned gamekeeper - I've suddenly become an Air Marshal of the Forum!

It feels... strange.

Cheers - C

There once was a lad named Armadillo
His favourite food, a spicy picadillo
With either beef or pork
He’ll clean it up with his fork
Then scream, next time leave out the armadillo

This is one of the good things to come out of this thread--a growth opportunity for Ceri. :P

Just got home from my dayjob, as an Ice giant and troll slayer, to read this.
