Ok SA, now there's a choice for you, three beers or the three blonds?

This ought to be an easy one for a Legend!

Since I don't drink and I don't cheat, I think I would have to just eat some bratwurst and sauerkraut at that particular festival...

Get thee behind me, Satan!

The man has my respect.
Hey SA, those Armadillos are some crazy looking critters. Armour plated mammals, unbelievable !
Downunder we have a lot of these crossing the road at this time of the year.

Everyone's got Anteaters, but ours (Echidna) lays eggs.

@ ImissSRV - Mate! In theory Texans and Aussies should get along great. You don't help our cause.

Goodonyaz ...Mark.

Very cool critter y'all have there; is the Echidna some type of platypus?

I always thought the platypus came about because God had some spare parts left over and he was trying to lower his overhead "Let's see, I have some beaver bodies, some duck bills, some egg-laying reproductive organs, and just for grins, let's put some venom in their rear claw on these webbed feet!"

As for Aussies and Texicanos having kindred spirit...you're right! We were both settled by rough-n-tough people who were fiercely independent, we celebrate our crazy characters (outlaw or not), and we love a good laugh...neither of us suffer fools gladly, so I'm surprised that y'all tolerate Skippy Down Under.

I had never seen an armadillo screaming, alive, or dead for that matter until I read SA's posts. Like his band's namesake he is unique and his posts reflect a man of good character with a great sense of humor. Thanks SA and you to SK for giving him some kudos. 8)

Yeah mate, Monotremes, an order of mammal with just two members - Echidna and Platypus. Both lay eggs and suckle their young but look nothing alike.

I noticed the body differences...if you hadn't mentioned the egg-laying capability I would have thought it was a strange looking hedgehog or porcupine or something along those lines.

On a side note, if you're ever in Texas and you're offered Armadillo Eggs as a snack, try them---Jalapeños stuffed with cheese, deep fried...yum!

Of course, if you have a sensitive stomach, you want to make sure you have a seatbelt on the toilet...
