Ask for Nathan Brown, they'll know him at "Musos" Newcastle West NSW 2302

Cheers

Somebody ought to call there and tell them to hide the guitar picks when he comes in....I'm sure if he actually goes there, they know him.

Not sure where you get only 16K for a 54 strat from.
Good condition 55's run around 35,900$

Myself I'd rather get another working guitar, than obtain a collector that I'd be afraid to take out of the house!

there was a really nice white/cream/blond 61 strat at the Arlington guitar show for 18k personally I thought it was a steal the playability was fantastic. it had a recent re-fret and a neck refinish in 76 he said. had a 70s case with it. it was gone when I went back to look at it again though

Amen to that, brother. I was at Guitar Center the other day and they had a '50s vintage Esquire there and asked me when I came through the door if I had $18,000 that I wanted to spend on it? I told them, not a chance. I'd rather have 36 guitars worth $500 than one that's worth $18,000. If I had one that was worth $18,000 I'D SELL IT!

Why do you seem to think that a 54 Strat is somehow superior to all other instruments ever? You don't seem to grasp the fact that the entirety of those instruments' worth comes from the fact that it was the first year they were made, it has absolutely nothing to do with how they play.

All of my friends have 1950s guitars lying around. One just put 2 in the trash because he didn't want it.

I volunteer to "doctor" the photographic evidence.

I'm pretty handy with Photoshop so I am told.
