Meh, I don't want an original 1954 Strat. A guitar like that puts too much emphasis on the instrument rather than the player, I'd rather not hear people saying I sound good only because I play a 1954 Strat. That being said, I'd gladly sell one for $50,000+, I could use that money to buy a freaking house.

When I see eBay ads for 1951 Teles for a cool 1/4 mill somehow I think 50K don't quite cut it for a '54 Strat. Keep sniffin' aeroplane glue. Maybe someday Joe Walsh's album title "The Smoker You Drink The Player You Get" will make perfect sense.

I saw a '54 on Ebay for 16k with 3 tone burst it was updated with a new paintjob but original neck and every thing

SA if i had 16k i'd buy myself a ORIGINAL (except the paintjob) 54 strat. the guitar had a 3 tone burst paintjob done in 1962
