:D Today My beautiful Wife of 36 years, got up and went off to work for the last time. This is her Retirement day. And you can bet that a large party will be forthcoming to celebrate the momentous occasion. :D Starting tomorrow life can be all about Shopping playing with the grand kids and playing her Strat. 8)

Hey Danny keep that gal busy.
I know a lot of folks who just couldn't deal with retirement. All that spare time and nothing to do got to them.

Best be utterly bloke'ish and keep leaving unwashed socks in unexpected places for her to find.
Better still make sure they are not paired up to add to the mystery.
A new cup for every cup of tea...
Put a few spoons in the fork section of the drawer. (Only do that in extreme circumstances. I once got threatened at butter knife point for this crime)

Or send her out to do your job whilst you have a bit of a lie in bed. For the ultimate win.

Nah in all seriousness, well done to your missus. Tell her even the English are envious of her.

big-ass congrats from the country of TEXAS!!!!!!!!
i thought my pops would struggle with his retirement. the only time he took off work was due to a measly broken neck. he had months of sick/vacation time to cover the healing process. the first couple of weeks had him confused. now, he is writing a book, walking his dog and sleeping whenever the hell he wants to. i'm very proud of my pops.
me, i'll die at work. hopefully my wife will be able to retire. her 401k has been gang-raped but at least she has something. social security?????? i won't even comment on that joke because it ain't funny. i work 2 jobs to keep up with the rising cost of food, gas and utilities.
every day the tall trees of oklahoma whisper in my ears. i don't know that i could survive there without a job. i'm having trouble surviving here with 2 jobs.

A husband is never "done" with a wife's honey-do list.

Hey Danny, that's great!

It's after retirement that you find a lot of different things to do,
so in a way, you're always only semi-retired...but that's a good thing! :D

My best wishes go out to the Missus on her well-earned retirement- now she can put her feet up and relax whenever she wants.
