Not much of a game player here but
got hold of RockSmith last night.
David MeShow playing Rocksmith demo

That thing is fun, and it really does try to teach you to play, notes and chords increase or decrease as the game works out your current skill level.

Ended staying up to 2am playing some of the drill sub games like whack a note.

Think they got it right, it is the way guitar games should have been!

I suspect so, my son went out and bought himself a Squire Strat pack just so he could play this game.
He is a big gamer but had no musical desires prior to RockSmith coming along.

I went out and got a copy of the game as well, because it looked like it might actually be fun, which it is!

Hilarious :!:
Probably the first time many of these new players have held a real guitar instead of a plastic push button toy.
t might take a while to figure out all the knobs really do something

Yep! The games comes with a 1/4 to USB interface that plugs right into the guitar and playstation. The game is amazing. I was up until 6am this morning playing and Id be playing now if I didnt have to go to work.

Be cool if you could upload songs to your Playstation and sort of use the Rocksmith as a media player.

It sounds like a really cool idea, but I'm just not interested in downloading songs with Microsoft points, and paying for music that I already have in some sort of fashion. I'm really fed up with all this pre-order junk and Downloadable content crap. I remember when PC developers would put out extra stuff for free as a thank you for buying their game and supporting the company. You know your going to have to pay for anymore songs.
