1) As a prolific Ebay'er I would def be suspicious of this auction just based on the number of items and the ridiculous price

2) I wouldn't buy any of these...LP's are a great guitar and classic guitar but WAY too heavy for my taste, the necks always feel like Louisville sluggers. If the only guitar I could own was a Gibson I'd go for an SG, lighter, thinner neck.

3) I gotta believe that a collector with Vintage Gear of such a high value would be going through Sotheby's and not Ebay

4) And even if it's all true, and I actually wanted to own part of it, my budget would let me go no more then "1/6,000th" rather halfsies. :D

I can see someone listing '58,'59,'60 Les Paul Standards as a package deal but lumping in all the newer stuff makes it smell fishier than Captain Highliner's house.I'd love to have a '59 fretless wonder though.

One of Hendrix's guitars sold for that much a few years ago.

Hendrix's Strat > a few LPs.

The seller is obviously using ebay as a cheap way to advertise his collection and to seek expressions of interest. I don't think he would expect anyone to make a bid on the entire collection. If one buyer contacts him about one guitar, it will have been worth his time.

It's not rocket science

Those pants are long gone, Dennis. But I think the shirt is still hanging in my closet. And of course, I still have the Les Paul......
