Has anyone heard of a product called wire glue? You use it in place of solder and makes electrical connection with nano carbon technology. I want to use it to connect out put jack to loaded pickguard I bought for my strat. Solderless sodering what do y'all think about this?

That stuff has its usefulness such as joining solar cells, strip tape, etc; you know, electronics stuff that has to be (re)connected but can't be soldered. Even at this though, the silver based stuff is infinitely better than carbon based.

For your purposes, it's use is highly impractical as it takes several minutes to begin firming up and literally 24 hours thereafter to fully cure and if you are impatient and the connections don't fully bond, this opens up a whole other group of problems. Regardless, we're talking clamps and immobility/unavailability of your guitar here. This stuff is also quite runny/messy and has to really be stirred up well.

Literally a few seconds with a soldering iron and solder would achieve your goal. "But hey, I'm only the 800 pound gorilla in the room."

Thanks for the info Martian. :) I know how to solder, did it for years building guidance systems for the military. I'm just lazy and thought this might work. Might be good for fixing a lifted pad on a pcb board though.

You're welcome.

For lifting pads on PC boards, I press the pad down to the board, twist a bit of wire and solder it to the mating terminal at the errant part of the pad, clipping off any excess wire once the connection's been made; that joint ain't never coming up or apart again!
