I appreciate all this. I should mention I've been through this before. Could be related to having "cluster" headaches since I was 13 that would make that side of my face sloop downward a bit. Going for help is probably a bad idea, for now.

I'm on here alot sometimes. I'll let you know.

What's that old expression: "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink"? Either way, I truly wish you the best.

Bells Palsy..

Had it twice. Once as a child - regular facial stimulation done at home cured me completely in 2 weeks. Then had it again as an adult 4 years ago. That time it was a side effect of the Guilliame Barre Syndrome I went down with, which paralysed me for 2 months. I recovered from the GB Syndrome, but the Palsy didnt go away. Had to have electro stimulation, acupuncture, botox etc, you name it.. But my face still doesn't work properly - esp my lips and particularly on one side. If I try and purse my lips, my left eye closes. And I can't whistle anymore.. :?

Don't want to talk about myself, but the point I'm making is seeking early advice can stop a problem becoming serious or even terminal.

If it's not Bells, you might be in even more trouble: a TIA (transient ischaemic attack) is a neurological event. Sometimes known as a mini-stroke. If you've had one of those - consider it a warning, before the big stroke hits you..

Stop rationalising, and seek help :x

Have it checked for sure.
My bet is on Bells Palsey. Exact symptoms. I had it back in my early thirties. It was treated with a steroid and It lasted for a couple weeks. A pain in the $@!, as I had to put gel in my eye and wear a patch (wouldn't close all the way at night). Eating, drinking and talking were a challenge as well.

Good luck.

Weird stuff. I can barely close my eye. It's not numb. That ear hurts pretty bad. I don't know what's going on. Too afraid to go to the hospital.

I popped my neck that night before bed. It cracked pretty loud. Maybe it's that.

Rub some dirt on it ,you'll be fine in a couple off weeks

I had Bells Palsy in my 50s and it took me two months to get over it, hit it with the heavy steroids at first, then let time take over. I left work for the first week, tongue was numb, face was drooping, eye was leaking, hard to drink even with a straw - it was no fun at all. My son took pictures - bad to look at. My left eye still won't open as wide as my right, ten years later.

See a doctor!

Try a chiropractor since you won't try the hospital or doctors.

It's improving as of today. I can now move the eyebrow. I really am sure it's a pulled muscle. Again, thanks for everyone's concerns. Very nice of you all. My sympathies to everyone in the thread experiencing similar problems. It did make me feel better reading your posts.

On with the show!!

Had to pawn my Fender once again. Nothing to do but talk about playing for now. :( I'll surely have my chit together in a couple weeks.

everything is ok

Mr. Chefwong...

Im telling you, you need to at least need to go and see your GP for a check-up.

I do not applaude your unwillingness to see a medical professional, the exact attitude of 'It'll be ok, I'll ride this one out'.. is the exact reason why I miss my beloved Father everyday since he passed away. Because of his stubbornness, his ailment took him- and guess who pays for it through the emotional hurt?

See a GP. If you were one of my close friends living here, I would drag you to see one. I'm afraid you wouldn't have a choice in the matter.

Until then, all the best. I hope this does not turn into something else, for both the sake of you, your friends and your family.

Peace.

Ah... wait a minute. Is this all to do with medical bills? Do you have to pay to see a doctor, chef wong? Is cash the real issue here?

Cheers - C

Hay man Your COOL. My Mother wouldn't listen to reason either. She passed away at '49' and left a 9 year old Son without a mother. (RIP) Mom.

Great minds...

But I have no idea what scale we might be talking about. Let's see where this goes.

You're a good man, Mr Hopkins. I like your style. 8)

Glad to hear that it's not as severe as it could have been yet it takes time and treatment to get over Bell's Palsy too.Best of luck in treating it and don't scare us like that again.
