got to the hospital now!!! this could be the signs of a stroke! i cannot begin to describe how hell like it is to survive one if you ignored the symptoms.

agreed. you really need to get that looked at. if it is a stroke and you procrastinate you could lose the ability to even play guitar............ not to mention losing your life. both are bad situations.

Weird stuff. I can barely close my eye. It's not numb. That ear hurts pretty bad. I don't know what's going on. Too afraid to go to the hospital.

I popped my neck that night before bed. It cracked pretty loud. Maybe it's that.

chef wong, you CANNOT be serious. You have all those scary symptoms - and yet you are more afraid of going to the hospital and getting what might be very important treatment? So instead you're talking about it on a guitar forum, several days later?

For pity's sake!

Some women think men are stupid about their health. Hmm...

To the hospital with you, chef wong.

Cheers - C

Neuralgia

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0002380/

I used to get it a bit after fights. Mainly caused by blood in bruising putting pressure on a nerve. It would clear up after a few days. Not at all pleasant and no less worrying for knowing whats causing it.

If you haven't had a bump in the last week, get to the doctors. And yes, Chinese herbal medicines are far better at dealing with bruising and breaks than western medicine. But if you haven't had impact damage, get to a typical westernized doctor.

Time is of the essence. Go to The Dr. And have yourself checked out. Maybe its nothing to worry about but let the Dr. make that decision. :!:

Yes, "hope you went" is the correct terminology. Because if this actually happened and you didn't seek medical attention, it was already too late by the time you posted this. In the case of a stroke, damage is measure in minutes before treatment, not hours.

"Too afraid to go to the hospital" is what it ought say on about half the tombstones in any graveyard.

My brother in law used to say, "doctors are a bunch of idiots." He died at 56. My exwife wouldn't go to a doctor, she did better, died at 60. See any pattern here?

Partial facial paralysis IS NOT SOMETHING TO BE IGNORED or taken likely. It can be the sign of any one or more of a myriad of serious health matters.I won't sugar coat the seriousness of this ,it can be the first signs of a tumor either malignant or benign or the sign of a stroke or some heart related malady. It may be something called Bell's Palsy which manifests itself as usually partial paralysis but what ever it is drop what you are doing right now and get your arse down to a hospital,my guess is once that they triage you they'll get you in pronto,so don't fear having to wait long-you may be saving your own life.

Chef Wong,

It could be any number of things from a pinched nerve (popping your neck) to some sort of Palsy. Regardless you should see a physician.
