So I am a sucker for a cheap guitar. I came across this Ibanez Talman TM71 on Kijiji. The price is a little higher than I would like but I may be able to haggle.

But I have also found out my wife has started a guitar fund for me, and I have been gassing BIG TIME for the Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster.

I could get the Ibanez right away, but the only thing holding me back is the extra drilled hole for a diferent strap button. Does anyone know what these were worth brand new? I used to have a different Ibanez Artcore guitar (ES style) that I traded a few years ago. I liked that guitar but never bonded with it completely. I miss it from time to time. The reviews I've read on the Talman have been fairly positive.

Yeah, I'm thinking the Squier.. I just get kinda crazy when I see a reasonably priced guitar or gear for sale. I am just waiting until my wife releases the fund so I can place my order for the Jazzmaster. I gotta keep my eye on the prize!
