armadillo: not a bad idea since they brought back the duo sonic and the jaguar bass (before it reissued again) under the squier name with that said i guess the jagstang wouldn't be a bad idea either (20 years of nevermind not a bad idea)

Point of information: I started this thread in error, bringing the topic over from another wherein I seem to remember that someone suggested that the Squier name was going to be dropped and that the line was going to continue as Fender. I'm told by a reputable source that such is NOT the case.

lucky guy!!! :D tell me how it plays i'm actually hoping for a new squier jazzmaster so i'm waiting i want another colour other than white... maybe they could go for the vintage modified jazzmaster colour scheme (black on butterscotch blonde) on a classic jazzmaster design i love the mix ;)

I personally don't like the styling of the VM Jazzmaster. I am really excited about the J Mascis since I heard about it and I hope it works out for me. I will definately be posting a NGD thread when I get it!

If I could get the neck I want, that white CV 50's Strat would be a keeper.

I still won't go so far as to say that a Squier CV is better than a U.S.A. made Strat or Tele. There might have been a good argument for the Squier Esprit. But pickups and certain hardware? Bridges, truss-rod, tuners, fretwork.. I would still side with an American model if given the choice. My opinion of course.

During an economy crash, I have to give a serious thumbs up to Squier for providing a great value and quality product in a time when money is tight.

Yes. My Affinity has lasted me a year and a half. still going. I found this old Ashton guitar and i decided to take the old strings off and adjust the pickups. i'm gonna adjust the bridge soon.
