Ceri doesn't have to tune his guitars. They all remember what happened to a certain Telecaster when it wouldn't stay in tune...

When Clapton and Bonnamassa played Royal Albert Hall, they each stopped mid-song and said, "Now I'm nervous, isn't that Ceri in the audience." After Ceri signalled his approval and requested they continue playing, they started the performance but refused to play any solos out of respect and embarrassment.

hahahahahah this post officially has one "like", brad had to put a "like" button just for ceri's exclusive use... poor brad is still traumatized from when ceri asked where was the like button...

Gentlemen, you are mistaking me for Nevin:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=42523

Movin' on. Nice grade wood they use on those Classic Vibes. No veneers there, I believe. What quality for an amazing price. Who cares what's on the headstock?

Good guitars.

Cheers - C

I agree that the Classic Vibe is an extremely built guitar. I owned one up to a few months ago. If I didn't have a gear agreement with my wife I would still own it.

Ceri--No mistake, you have your own set of super powers that should be celebrated as well.

You are Professor X to Nevin's Wolverine.

The fact that you (humbly) are objecting to this idea makes it all the more fun. :P

I agree...the first time I picked one of those CV Strats up, I was shocked at the quality, sound and feel. Excellent instrument, even if it were to cost more.

I've said that ad nauseum; don't look at who made it or where it was made...look at what was made...if it's good, it's good, period.

Good guitars.

That could be a new departing salutation, "Good guitars, mate!"

Or maybe an exclamatory phrase, "Good guitars, man, what are you doing?"
:P

With the right dose of that drug you're a nowhere man for short time, with a rather quick recovery. With the wrong dose....well.......that's already a matter of public record isn't it.

Not that I know anything about it, but the starvation beforehand is the worst part. Erm, so I've heard.

Happy dining, Doc. And have a drink on us.

Bottoms up - C

...Oh...

Anyhow, where were we? Classic Vibe Squiers: I think they're marvellous, and the best bang for the buck there is. But I wish they did one with a '50s neck carve - am I the only one who feels that way...?Cheers - C

Uff!! Makes me damn nervous watching you do that. On the neck carve...go up a ways and read my posts.

Roger that, and thanksThat 24 hour preop period can really go well. Just takes a little know how. I'll save that for a sidebar with you.

Strangely, my Squier CV 60's doesn't get played anymore. It's been archived by me. I have only one other guitar that I've archived. It's my first electric guitar. My '57 AVRI reissue. It's not even in the house anymore. It's in a safer place.

I'm a strange person when it comes to my own personal memorabilia. There comes a time when certain things get archived in the one in a billion chance my songs ever mean enough to people that they become something that may be donated for a higher cause some day. Or possibly cherished and kept by family members when I'm no longer in existence. I'm the only musician within a rather large family. Not one brother, sister, cousin, uncle, Aunt, Great, great etc... Anyone that I'm aware of for as far as I know from my family tree has played an instrument.

Not since I joined HaleAmano has anyone ever taken any serious notice of the possibility that I could actually turn my life-long dream into a reality.

Anyone here who has heard the songs of our debut album have most likely heard the only 2 songs I wrote on it. Jah Soldier and Sky down. they are the first reggae songs I ever wrote. Jah Soldier being the first one, and the biggest hit of the album. That song became a huge turning point in my musical career. It was my first step outside of the heavy metal world and out of my box (so to speak).

When I recorded Jah Soldier, the 2 guitars I used were My fender '57 AVRI for the rhythm, and my Squier CV 60's for the solo.. True story.

If I were to ever sell that CV 60's, my mother who brought me into this world would take me right back out of it. It's not my guitar anymore. It's hers. So is the '57 AVRI. She had to endure the countless hours of me learning how to play in the beginning when I stunk to high heaven at high volumes. But she also always supported my interest and my dream, and still does with every bit of her heart. Jah Soldier is her favorite song of all time. And that's her favorite guitar solo. As long as she's still alive, those guitars are hers.

Fender and Squier will always hold a very special place in my soul. Many other guitars will come and go. But I have a very distinct feeling, those 2 will never leave my family..

What Happened to that Tele?

So here I was thinking that I had put the wrong key in the wrong lock and now we find ourselves with two pages of strong support for the Squier line and a strong feeling that the marque not fade quietly into the night. Hope someone in corporate is listening.....and...how about a v-neck on that 50's Vibe :?:

and while they're listening how bout bringing back the cyclone, new colours for the tele custom and the jagmaster, more lake placid blue strats (more colour in general what is it with you guys and sunburst? yeah it's cool but not the only guitar finish in the world), how bout a lefty p-bass, jaguar bass and mustang bass (once more with more colour options for lefty basses) ? and to top it off continue with the classic jazzmaster design like you did with the j mascis jazzmaster and you may be planning this already but a squier mustang guitar ;)

what i like about you guys is that your higher end guitars are up to fender spec that totally rocks for modding up these guitars and having them compete with fender guitars cause the higher end guitars are basically fender guitars put into the sub brand...
in conclusion squier rocks overall but they definately have potencial to be the perfect sub brand

While we're making requests, I really really want a Fender Bass VI and a Fender XII...even if it says Squier on the headstock.
