Sorry, not a New Guitar Day, but a New Grandson Day!!!

Finn Colter Evans is my 4th grandson - two from my son and now two from my daughter. No granddaughters yet or likely now.

My daughter (born to two hippy parents in 1975) was determined for this to be a home delivery with a mid-wife. She was due on 9/27 and my wife was there to help, but no baby showed up so my wife came home on Sunday. Yesterday she gets a call from my daughter saying you better come on up as contractions had started so my wife called me and said she was heading north - 150 miles.

A half hour later my wife called me back again and before she said a word I said, "You missed it, didn't you!" Yes, she missed it. And so did the mid-wife! Finn was born with husband Nate and 3-1/2-year-old brother, Noah, helping out. The mid-wife got there a half hour after the birth. Talk about your HOME DELIVERY! The baby is doing fine.

Congrats on the new grandson! My wife and I became grandparents ten weeks ago, our first. I always wanted a little daddy's girl to spoil but we had two boys. When I found out we were going to have a girl I went right out and bought her a pink Strat . Grandkids rule!

Congrats, very special, my grandson is 2 1/2, we'll be trick or treating in a few weeks.

My daughter is one of those extreme fitness people who runs 4-5 miles a day and at 36 she's not stopping. She ran right up until her third trimester, at which time she just went to walking. The day before she gave birth she did three loads of laundry and hung them all out to dry, then washed their car and truck! The midwife was freaking out!

My daughter said the birth was awesome and, she hopes, created an extra special life-long bond between Finn and his older brother. Noah insisted on helping to wipe the blood off the baby and then wanted to be the first to hold him. I used to tell his father (my son-in-law) that, due to his large size and early interest in fitness, I saw Noah excelling as a cage wrestler. I think now I might amend that. Noah the doctor?



It gets me every time!

Congrats! My wife and I are expecting our second child in November. Our first will only be 18 months old when she is born! I can't wait for my son to hold her like your grandson in that picture. I can already feel a tear in my eye!
