Good time to get back into them. They have new old records coming out.

I've been buying some of their old tracks like "Shine On you Crazy Diamond, Part 1" and "Terminal Frost". The only Floyd album I have is DSOTM and I've got the CD and vinyl.

Here I was afraid I might have been the only one that found a ceiling fan fascinating when I was listening to Floyd in an "altered" state :D

Nice, I like Pink Floyd a lot. And I too have been fiddling with a JCM 800 lately, great amp. I'm borrowing it though, it's not mine. It's gonna be a shame when I have to give it back. lol

I very much enjoy Gilmour´s tone on the Strat, and his absolute good taste. He is so admirable!

My problem is that in my sensitivity, well I gravitate towards depression with Floyd´s music. Most of the tunes seem so sad to me. I can´t seem to enjoy and then move on. I get stuck.

I listen to stuff I can handle and cheers me up. Swing, bebop, bluegrass.
Funny though, I´m a blues fan as well and the blues has never made me depressed, it sort of galvanizes you, doesn´t it?

Anyways, Floyd live has been the best concert I´ve been to. 8)

Yesss, The Floyd, been listening to them since the 60's and still going strong :)

Have most of their disks and the Pompeii dvd, as well a many of David Gilmour's solo works.
Really like to listen to him playing never seems to get stale.

CD's
1978 "David Gilmour"
1984 "About face"
2006 "On an island"
2008 "Live in Gdansk"

2010 The Orb with David Gilmour - Metallic Spheres, (Just heard this one not sure I like it enough to buy it)

Blu-Ray
2007 "Remember that night" <- this is just great show to watch and listen to in 5.1 sound.

Was great seeing that Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason were willing to play together again on some of the Wall tour instead of maintaining the old grudges.
You can see a couple of clips from that show on David's site

I have many Pink Floyd albums. Great stuff. The Wall was the best thing I've ever heard. Dark side of the Moon, The Division Bell, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, all great masterpieces. I like to listen these albums again and again. I'm just sad that many of people that I know, they just don't like Pink Floyd, or better said, they just don't understand the Pink Floyd music.

Even better, most of it came from stars. Except the stuff which came from Ikea.
