OK, so apparently October is breast cancer awareness month. Now, I never get on band wagons but I just wanna go on record as saying I like boobies. I'd even go so far as to say I am "pro" boobies. I like 'em really lots and lots and anybody or any disease that messes with one of my favourite things is gonna hafta come through me first. BUBBA!! Maybe I'm just a sick, twisted perv but I'm donating to breast cancer research TODAY and I challenge all the other sick, twisted pervs to do the same. All breasts are wonderful and they are a gift from God and none of 'em deserve that kinda crap (except maybe man breasts, they can die in agony for all I care). Laugh it up, perv but I really am donating today. Who's with me?

Very nice post BMW-KTM. I too hope that some day cancer is eradicated.

I still remember the day my wife got the news about her mom being diagnosed with breast cancer, crushing news. But mom-in-law is now a 10 year survivor which is awesome. Bucking the stereotype she's pretty awesome so I'm glad she's around.

What we've been doing over the last couple years is when there is a funeral or other memorial type function, we make a donation to breast cancer research in lieu of flowers in the name of the person. Seems a better use of the cash than a flower that will be dead or a plant that no one wants to take home after a ceremony.

My school runs a coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan cancer research. Everyone has to put in a minimum donation of £2, so that's well over £6000 all together. This is also the first year which I'm old enough to go. :D (There's only room enough in the canteen for the top three year groups.)

My ex-wife is a 7-year survivor. It devastated my son when we got the news; he thought he was going to lose his mom. She did surgery and a long stretch of chemo, and she's fine now. I donate often both privately and when my school does their Relay For Life event. Definitely a good cause to donate to. Take a weeks worth of Starbuck's money and give it to the American Cancer Society.

Since I've quit smoking I've adopted a little boy in Ethiopia and also have signed up to pledge $5 a month to breast cancer research. So far I don't feel better from giving up cigarettes but I do feel much better knowing that my money is doing good instead of harm.I'd recommend this to anyone who quits smoking -it'll make you feel doubly better.
