Fine guitars there. Congrats, I'm sure you'll enjoy them. I really like the big headstock on the Special Strats.

Was that a Lovepedal Eternity I saw in the pics? If so, how do you like it? I'm considering ordering either that or the Wampler Ecstasy.

Yes, it is a Lovepedal Eternity Burst. Its probably the most toneful and woodiest sounding drive pedal around IMHO. It sounds great with strats and les pauls. Hmmm.....eternity burst is still being made? I know Sean briefly offered them again for a limited time back in July, but I think he already stopped.

I'm actually considering buying the Eternity Fuse. I imagine all of the Eternity pedals that Sean has made have "some" common ground. I've never heard a bad review about any of the Eternity pedals.

I have my eyes on the Fuse, but I haven't been able to find one in a store to try out.

Thanks for getting back to me on that, I'll add you to the list of positive comments I've heard/read about that pedal.

I'm getting one!

Cheers

Here is mine. It is a 2008. This is the case they now ship in. Better construction, but does not look as cool IMO. Mine is also Washed Cherry.

Yours may be the first year of the VOS treatment... I am not sure if it was 2005 or 2006. The VOS gunk is literally some gunk they spread on the finish and metal parts. It has a dulling appearance and can be polished off if you desire.

It is a 300 upcharge to go gloss with these guitars now!

Wow she is a beauty!!! Nice!! How many LP reissues do you have?

Do you guys think the upgraded caps make a difference? How about the ARP bridge? I see some people run the strings back, up and over with that bridge and some don't.

I see you are also a member at the MLP forums. Don't let them convince you that every historic needs a makeover!

(although they do look good)

I love my guitar dead stock. Sounds great and plays great.

Same here. I don't really like modifying my musical equipments. I like them pretty bone stock myself.

  Talk about two nice guitars! I have been debating lately whether my next guitar will be a Strat or a Les Paul. Sadly I can only buy one at a time right now...
Congrats on a the double score.

Congratulations! I got my first real Strat a few weeks ago, and it was the same as yours - CAR American Special. It's a great guitar - stupidly good for the money.
