Yesterday I got a new American Special Strat. Today I got a Gibson Les Paul 58' VOS Washed Sunburst.

Beautifull! If you're going to have a NGD, that's the way to do it! That R8 looks real familiar. Did you buy it at Northridge GC? I played one just like it a week ago for about an hour. I was seriously considering it, but I just haven't made up my mind on which neck I want. They've had it for a long time. How do you like the 50's round neck? Did you try the asymetrical on the standard plus? I'm waiting to play the asymetrical before making up my mind but I liked the 50's neck over the slim tapered 60's. I like your Strat too. I'm just preoccupied with wanting an LP right now.

Fine guitars there. Congrats, I'm sure you'll enjoy them. I really like the big headstock on the Special Strats.

Was that a Lovepedal Eternity I saw in the pics? If so, how do you like it? I'm considering ordering either that or the Wampler Ecstasy.

LOL! Wow....small world indeed. Yes, that was the guitar in Northridge GC. I haggled with the manager to bring down the price so I can take it home for $2289 out the door with tax included. I was there last week playing it for a good hour also, but I decided to sleep on it, though the price was good and today, I went back and played it again and decided to get it. Hell, this same guitar was going for $3699 at other guitar center, but I wonder why it went down in price. Do you know why? They said it was not used or returned and I don't see anything wrong with it at all. Plays and sounds great. I prefer fat 50s round necks, the asymmetrical necks feels weird to me. BTW....thanks for not buying it when you had the chance :D :D :D

Yes, it is a Lovepedal Eternity Burst. Its probably the most toneful and woodiest sounding drive pedal around IMHO. It sounds great with strats and les pauls. Hmmm.....eternity burst is still being made? I know Sean briefly offered them again for a limited time back in July, but I think he already stopped.

What year is the 58 VOS? They have not shipped with repro Lifton cases in many years.

I have no idea. Sales person said they had this 58 VOS in the store for a long time. When did they stop shipping this Lifton case?

I didn't see anything wrong with it and it played and sounded great. It's an '06, so that's why they wanted to move it out. You did real good. I was thinking of offering even less than that, but I wasn't sure how motivated they were to move it. I'll have to scratch that one off of my list of options, that's next to my keyboard. Get that sucker in a video and post it. I'd love to hear it again.
